Chassis & engine adjustments, exhaust system, suspension and braking - All components have been developed by Peugeot Sport to embody the spirit of a sports car.
The experts at Peugeot Sport created an engine with the perfect balance of performance and efficiency. The THP 270hp petrol engine produces 200 kW power and 330Nm of torque, and extracts the full potential of the chassis. All the moving parts have been forged for endurance, including aluminum pistons; reinforced connecting rods, bearings & screws; and a six-gear manual gear box that can cope with high levels of torque.
To make the most of the 270 horsepower of power the engineers at Peugeot Sport upgraded a number of components for precision handling. The brakes are held in place by four-piston calipers with a diameter of 38 and 41 mm. The 380mm front and 268mm rear brakes are ventilated and fitted on an aluminum bowl. A Torsen® limited-slip differential is incorporated into the gearbox for more dynamic cornering and the entire suspension has been transformed for the GTi.
